We are pleased to present André Kertész: Hungary, 1914-1921, an exhibition of early photographs. Created amid war and political instability, these works do not announce their historical moment. Instead, they articulate a mode of looking, grounded in intimacy and the quiet architecture of everyday life. Across rural landscape and urban streets, Kertész composes with restraint. His images reconcile structure and spontaneity, allowing stillness and subtle motion to register within a single frame. They establish the essential foundations of his practice, later refined in Paris and New York.
